HOW THE LIGHT GETS IN

I have read somewhere that one is not permitted to think of the Torah whilst on the toilet. I have also read that when Tolstoy was a child, his older brother would torment the young writer by telling him to stand in a corner and not think of a white bear. Consequently, a white bear was all that Tolstoy could think about.
